DSC 1106 3 150x150 6 Social Communities That Will Increase Your Blog Traffic

Relying on word of mouth from your blogs is certainly one way to get more traffic. But to really generate that traffic from a blogpost it needs to be seen by lots of eyes. These six places the article mentions certainly know the game, and a few have been around from the first days of the Internet. All this said each of these will require some further work to get that notice so pick one or two and that a) fit and b) that you get going first. Want to Prove Your Company Is Human? Get Your CEO to Tweet

Published: Monday, November 18th, 2013 | Posted in Articles, Business, Marketing, Social Media

photo 10 150x150 Want to Prove Your Company Is Human? Get Your CEO to Tweet

A recent article on SocialMediaToday.com verified that its a good idea for CEOs to Tweet and engage in the Social Media world. However they must be the ones to do so. The survey mentioned, done by Basaarvoice showed that at least on the Marketing side, the CMOs, saw the value.

But there are a few points all of these folks need to keep in mind. Its nothing that has not been posted here or other sites. To make this work you need to do this:

1) tweet, post on a regular basis. Even if that is only every Tuesday.
2) be genuine and make it “your” post, idea, comment
3) follow up if there are questions, or comments
4) set a time or schedule for #3
5) have fun doing it, people like a “fun” CEO, CMO, etc.
6) don’t lie

How a Winery Uses Social Media to Increase Sales and Brand Loyalty

lj wl instagram meme How a Winery Uses Social Media to Increase Sales and Brand Loyalty

How can wineries use social media to increase sales when the law prohibits them from giving away product samples? Whitehall Lane, a 20-year-old Napa Valley winery run by the Leonardini family, has hit on a winning social media formula that pays dividends in both increased sales and brand loyalty.

My take: The wine business is not the only one who is limited in the way they can advertise or promote. The legal profession, doctors as well as car dealers and medical professions all have some fairly restrictive regulations when it comes to promotion of their services. This means taking these services or products and letting potential customers know the benefit of their particular service. Where this winery goes though is using their base. After all in today’s world of mass advertising everywhere we now tune out more, or get aggravated more by ads everywhere. But if we hear from a friend that this place did me good we are more than likely to go there. We also spend time asking for advice on Facebook or Twitter. These are thing that the new Director/VP of _____________ needs to look at. There are some great ideas this winery has rolled out.

the growth hacker funnel 01 The Growth Hacker Funnel

There are several chapters in this publication/website online. Its not mine, but there are many things in there that we suggest. You can do all of these things by following the step by steps. Its a time consuming endeavor, but it will make a difference in the end. The big thing in all of this is getting to the customer. There are lots of obstacles and clutter for both them and you to get through. Its a great read, as are the other chapters. If you have questions please ask, and if its not something you have time for and want help with again, please ask.
